FlyDubai, a new budget airline owned by the Dubai Government has ordered 50 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft worth an estimated £2 billion.
The airline, which will start flying next year, will take delivery of the aircraft between 2009 and 2015.
Destinations will include cities in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
