JetBlue Adds New Route At Westchester County Airport, Becomes Airport's Largest Airline

JetBlue Airways will expand its presence at Westchester County Airport this winter, growing to become the airline with the most seats to the most destinations as it begins nonstop service to Tampa, Fla., and adds more flights on routes to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Palm Beach. JetBlue's added service to all four cities takes flight November 2, bringing even more convenient and affordable service to Westchester County, Fairfield County, and Hudson Valley travelers just in time for the snowbird season.

JetBlue will offer the following 11 daily departures from Westchester County Airport this winter:

    * Fort Lauderdale (3 daily flights)
    * Fort Myers (1 daily flight)
    * Orlando (4 daily flights)
    * Palm Beach (2 daily flights)
    * Tampa (1 daily flight)

JetBlue Adds Three New Winter Sun Routes From Washington, D.C.

JetBlue Airways announced today plans to launch services from Washington Dulles International Airport to three new winter sun destinations. Beginning December 18, JetBlue will kick off seasonal services from Dulles to Fort Myers and West Palm Beach, Fla. -- the only nonstop service offered on both routes. Then on December 20, JetBlue will add Saturday-only nonstop service to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Fares from Dulles to Fort Myers and Palm Beach start at just $114 each way while nonstop flights to San Juan can be had for as little as $139 each way. In addition to its three new routes, award-winning JetBlue already offers Washington-area sun-seekers daily nonstop service to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Fla., plus frequent service to Boston, New York (JFK), and cities across the western United States.

JetBlue Applauds Congress and President Bush for Raising Retirement Age For Pilots

JetBlue Airways has commended the U.S. Congress and President Bush for raising the mandatory retirement age for U.S. commercial pilots from 60 to 65.

Dave Barger, JetBlue's CEO, said: "JetBlue has long worked to repeal the mandatory retirement age 60 for our most experienced aviators and we commend the Congress and President for taking this bold action to raise the retirement age to 65."

John Ross, JetBlue's vice president of Flight Operations, said: "On behalf of JetBlue's 1,900 pilots, we applaud the new age 65 retirement age.

"Age 65 is internationally recognized as the appropriate retirement age, and for good reason. The experience our pilots bring to the operation is invaluable."

JetBlue Airways Reports July Traffic

JetBlue Airways Corporation (Nasdaq:JBLU) reported today that its traffic in July increased 13.4 percent from July 2006, on a capacity increase of 9.5 percent.
