Thomsonfly Offer Winter 2008/2009 Direct Flights To Tel Aviv From Manchester and Luton

Thomsonfly is offering flights to Tel Aviv for next winter from just £89.99 one-way including taxes and charges. Departing from London Luton and Manchester airports, winter 08/09 flights will continue the current schedule, flying on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from both airports.*

Thomsonfly Has Wrists Slapped By ASA Over Legroom Ads

Thomsonfly has been warned by the Advertising Standards Authority not to repeat adverts that claimed the airline offered more legroom in long haul economy than both Virgin and British Airways.

The adverts showed a cartoon of a man reclining in his airline seat and stretching his his legs out.

The ASA backed four claims that the adverts exaggerated the available legroom and ordered the airline to remove the campaign.

Thomsonfly deny the adverts were misleading.

Thomsonfly Launch Winter 2008/2009 Flight Schedule

Thomsonfly Announce New Service From Birmingham to Jamaica

The Jamaica Tourist Board and Thomsonfly have annnounced a new direct service to Montego Bay, Jamaica, starting 5th May 2008 and operating all year round from BIA.

The flights are not only great news for Brits keen to discover the beautiful island on holiday, but also for the Midlands’ vibrant Jamaican community who like to travel back to Jamaica for holidays frequently.  These new flights mean a potential 14,000 extra visitors to the island, and with Thomsonfly’s extremely competitive prices for both all inclusive holiday packages and flights only, it is hoped to draw a significant increase in visitation to Jamaica from the Midlands in 2008.

From the 5th May 2008, the flights will depart from the UK on Mondays at 09.45 and return to the UK on Tuesdays at 06.25.  Flight only prices start from £459 per person.  Thomsonfly is also offering a number of holiday packages to Montego Bay including seven nights from £699 per person to fourteen nights from £899 per person.  Both packages are based on accommodation on an all inclusive basis at Club Ambiance and include flights.  Prices are per person based on two sharing and travel in May 2008.

TUI AG records stable turnover in tourism in Q2

Despite a decline in turnover and Group earnings in the second quarter 2007 compared to the previous year, TUI AG upholds its optimistic assessment of the development of its operative business in the year 2007 as a whole. Overall, a stable turnover trend is expected for 2007. Against the backdrop of currently strong bookings in the tourism division and an increase in freight rates in shipping, a significant operative improvement is expected for the second half of the year.
